It's been a long time...

Hello!

Skyler and I are back on here for the first time since December...

Since then we have had our 1 year anniversary together! We recently have become obsessed with the HBO special "Big Love," and can't stop watching it...except now we have to since we finished all of the seasons that are available on DVD for rent...dang-it.

I had my 20th birthday this last month, had a fun little party the Saturday prior, and just a relaxed dinner with my brother on my actual birthday. It's always nice to get together with the people that love and support you for a party!

I finally, after a year got to meet Skyler's dad, Mark and stepmom, Kim. I was pretty nervous beforehand, but that was silly...they were nice people and I was pretty comfortable after only a few minutes. I only hope I can have the kind of relationship with them that I have with Skyler's mom and Pablo. It's just like having a family away from home :)

Pablo has been in the hospital for nearly 2 weeks with pnemonia. Poor thing. Skyler and I went to El Mirage to see him Sunday thinking he would be having a surgery to remove fluid on Monday, but turns out-the doctors said that he should be able to be released on Monday! Good thing, I'm glad he's getting better-but I had an overdue visit to Pablo, Sandy, and the kids anyway. I love them :)

Otherwise, we have just been working, and I have been going to school. My classes will end shortly before Skyler's birthday in May.

This July my parents are flying Skyler and myself to my hometown in Wyoming so he can see where I grew up. My family is pretty excited I think to have us visit, they really like Skyler. He is excited too, as am I. It's been a long time since I've been home...

As of right now, that's about all that's going on with us. We'll try better to keep in touch :)

...It's Been A While...

Hello All!

We haven't been on here in a while...however there isn't much new going on either...

Skyler is still working for Progressive, but collecting is becoming difficult through the holiday season...hopefully it picks back up after Christmas....but I think he is going to go apply at APS. By doing that he could start as a meter-reader or something, but they would pay for his school to become an electrician, and I hope he does go that route.

I am just finishing my first semester, my last class is Tuesday morning until the end of January. We're just trying to get ready for Christmas...our apartment is all decked out :) I love Christmas :) My family is big on Christmastime.

Skyler and I are both expecting some visitors coming up at the end of this month. His high school buddy Dermott flies in December 27th-January 4th...similarly my best friend from high school, Ashley, flies in December 31-January 8th...so we will have a little overlap of the two. That should be lots of fun!

Also...Sky's friend Jainine from Australia is coming to stay with us starting on February 1st...she is trying to get a working visa-and would like to stay in the United States for 6months...travel around a bit. I'm excited to meet some more of Sky's friends. :) The other day she called and she and I ended up chatting for the better part of an hour...nice girl.

My brother just bought a house, and my dad was here visiting last week to help him move in...he's no longer our neighbor :( Luckily he only moved a few miles away...

Our nasty roommate moved out...she paid through January 1st...so I don't really know what her motive to move out was, really...but on her way out she dumped bleach on our couches, and now I am going to have to take her to court to replace them...didn't even buy them a whole year ago. What a little brat. She's really irresponsible though, so she would never take responsibility for her actions without the police being involved...

We are looking for a new roommate, or possibly a one bedroom apartment...still more affordable to stay in the 2 bedroom with a roommate though we're finding. My mother wants us to move in with my brother...I doubt. That was miserable for the short time I did that when I first moved down...it's an option, but a crappy one. (no offense Dan-o) haha.

I'm definitely getting better...

So I can master this blog thing...I just need a few more pictures (heh-hem Sandy) :)

Monday Skyler started his new job at Progressive; is training...and seems to like it...much more in-depth than our previous position at UoP...so hopefully won't be as boring. I hope he just loves it...I also hope that he really will go back to school like he says...but I ride him about it...(I'm such a nag) haha...he needs to eventually...good life experience-and also makes any position you take more lucrative...can't hurt to have a degree in something...

I have to go get all my school stuff today...notebooks, folders, calculator, my books...so that'll be adequately expensive...hahah...but I'm sure if I serioulsy needed help my parents would pitch in...they're really glad I made the decision to go back to school...I don't think they believed me when I said I'd only take one year break...geeze have some faith rents...(parents) Plus I never ask them for anything...I haven't asked them for help with rent or bills or anything since I moved last year...so they really feel like they need/want to help me I guess...but I'm a pretty independent little turd. :) Sky and I as a couple have gotten a little over our heads tryna set up house-but it'll work out okay...My mom always tells me that you have to make mistakes, struggle, and learn in able to appreciate the good times in life...otherwise you'd take everything for granted-Gotta lose to win.

Our kittens got declawed last week--and I was worried that it would hurt them...but they're running around like little terrors just as they were before. haha.

The other night Sky and I went to Shane and Jenny's for dinner, and we played Apples to Apples--my family isn't much for gamers so I'd never played it before...but it was fun. I like having other couples to hang out with...all my single friends get annoyed at Skyler and I...mostly cuz we're not alcoholics and won't go to the bar and junk...but I like stayin in and playing with our girls...I like to actually get some sleep at night (not waking up with my face on a toilet), watch movies...I'm not at all upset with the lifestyle change from before and after Skyler...it's better for me I think...I just wish that he did have some guy friends to hang with other than my brother...Dermot and Jordan should move here for him :) I know sometimes he must get sick of hanging out with just me--and needs some guy time...

Well, I start shool Monday and have orientation this Saturday morning...I'm nervous but excited also...I do have a 7am class twice a week-that'll be rough considering that I'm a bum. :)

Off to the store I suppose...get this overwith...

Today Skyler and I are creating this blog at work...we're used to myspace and I'm finding this blog thing to be much more difficult than myspace...and also a bit confused?? I'm looking at Shana and Summer's blog...and wondering...how in the heck did you get all that crap on there? And how do you add people onto your blog? Help?
